As sports betting in Arizona continues to grow, another tech operator joins the party in the valley.
OpenBet is helping launch retail sportsbooks at Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort, both located in Scottsdale. This is thanks to an agreement with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
This gives the Grand Canyon State two more in-person sports betting locations.
What the OpenBet retails sportsbooks have to offer
Under this new deal between OpenBet and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Casino Arizona in Scottsdale and its sister property, Talking Stick Resort, will now offer a variety of retail sports betting options.
Both casinos take advantage of OpenBet’s customizable Self Service Betting Terminals (SSBTs). The facilities will also use a state-of-the-art promote screen management system, which displays content through several in-venue formats.
OpenBet is also giving the casinos 24/7 managed trading services (MTS) from Don Best Sports. MTS delivers AI-driven pricing models driven by a team of expert sportsbook traders.
Cathryn Lai, Chief Commercial Officer at OpenBet, says this partnership grows OpenBet’s existing presence in Arizona.
“We’re incredibly proud to have secured this partnership with Casino Arizona, with our robust and scalable retail products set to provide the operator with the best platform to enter the highly competitive sports betting arena, said Lai.
She went on to say that this is an exciting time for Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort.
“With an unrivaled passion for sports betting entertainment, our team will utilize their extensive experience to deliver a smooth launch,” said Lai. “We’re looking forward to bringing quality and responsible sports betting opportunities to even more Arizonians later this year.”
Retail Sportsbook competition between Arizona Casinos is heating up
The retail sportsbook at Casino Arizona is now open for business. There is no word yet on when the sportsbook at Talking Stick Resort will launch.
However, it is excellent timing for these two Arizona casinos to announce the launches of two new retail locations. The Arizona sports betting market had a fantastic month in March with a record-breaking $690.979 million in wagers.
The two Scottsdale properties will be able to go up against retail sportsbooks at nearby tribal casinos like the BetMGM sportsbooks at Gila River Resorts locations and the Caesars Sportsbook at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Arizona in Maricopa.
“Launching a new retail sportsbook is an extremely exciting move for our organization,” said Ramon Martinez, Director of Public Relations at Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort. “Sports betting has grown to become a major form of entertainment and we wanted to complement our core offering to bring even more exciting opportunities for our customers.”
