Cardinals Week 2 Betting Preview

The Arizona Cardinals shocked many football experts with their beatdown of the Tennesee Titans on Sunday. Many view the Titans as a Super Bowl contender, but they were dominated from start to finish by a Cardinals team many expect to finish last in their division.

Moving on to Week 2, the Cards return home to face the Minnesota Vikings, a team coming off a disappointing overtime loss to the Cinnicintti Bengals. And it should be a packed house for Arizona’s home opener.

Emphasizing the Cards’ first game at State Farm Stadium is the fact that this will be the first Cardinals home game since the launch of legal sports betting. With the excitement surrounding the team and the sports wagering phenomenon, fans could be in for a treat. Not just by the Cardinals, but also with regulated sportsbooks in the Grand Canyon State.

Arizona NFL betting preview: Minnesota Vikings at Arizona Cardinals

In the Cardinals’ 38-13 win over the Titans, quarterback Kyler Murray threw four touchdown passes and rushed for a score. Meanwhile, pass rusher Chandler Jones had 5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles, no doubt entering his name as an early favorite as the league’s defensive player of the year.

Arizona heads into this Sunday’s matchup with the Vikings as the betting favorite among mobile betting apps in Arizona. According to Caesars Sportsbook AZ, the Cardinals sit as favorites. Other bookmakers list the Cards as 4- or 4.5-point favorites.

As for total points, Caesars pits the over/under at points.

Perhaps the moneyline, spread or over/under markets don’t pique your interest? Well, if you are looking for interesting prop bets on the game, DraftKings Arizona has a few of those.

  • Cardinals total touchdowns: over/under 3.5
  • Total touchdowns in the game: over/under 6
  • Cardinals total points: over/under 27.5

Cash in on Cardinals betting promos, odds boosts this week

Last week, Cardinals players came in good for bettors banking on super boosts and promos sportsbooks ran ahead of the season opener. For example, Murray hit big on a Caesars Sportsbook boost that he would have over 299.5 combined passing and rushing yards. FanDuel Arizona also had a prop bet boost on Murray rushing for a score as well as wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins catching a touchdown.

This coming week against the Vikings, Draftkings Sportsbook is running a “no-brainer” promo for Arizonans. Bettors can wager at +100 odds that at least one point will be scored in the Arizona-Minnesota game. This one is a virtual lock. There hasn’t been a game in the NFL that has ended in a scoreless tie since 1943.

Meanwhile, WynnBet Sportsbook AZ is also getting in on the fun. They’re boosting Murray to score or throw a TD to +100. The max bet is $20. So if you wager $20 on Kyler running in for a score, or throwing one up for Hopkins, you’ll make a $20 profit.

As we get closer to the game, expect other sportsbooks to launch their own special offers and odds boosts.
