It looks like WynnBet Sportsbook is to place to go for parlay bettors. WynnBet says an Arizona sports betting customer placed a $1,000 wager on a 7-leg parlay Wednesday night.
All of the legs cashed, and the player took home $21,814.61. A majority of the legs came from college basketball. Furthermore, with March Madness just around the corner, this could be a sign of things to come for sports betting in Arizona.
How the bet was won
According to WynnBet Arizona, the winner placed six bets on men’s college basketball games and one on the NHL.
The bettor had the under on the Rutgers-Michigan game of 135.5 points. They also had the Michigan moneyline. The Wolverines won the game 71-62. It was also Michigan’s first game under associate head coach Phil Martelli. He is filling in for head coach Juwan Howard, who was suspended for the rest of the regular season after a fight erupted in the handshake line following a loss to Wisconsin on Sunday.
Speaking of the Badgers, the bettor’s ticket also had the under on the Wisconsin-Minnesota game of 135 points. The bettor picked Minnesota to cover the +5.5-point spread. The Golden Gophers were able to cover in the 68-67 loss to Wisconsin.
The other two college basketball bets were the Kentucky and Dayton moneyline wagers. Kentucky beat LSU 71-66 in a battle of SEC teams, and Dayton topped UMass 82-61.
Finally, the big win was secured on the ice. The bettor placed a moneyline bet on the Los Angeles Kings to beat the Arizona Coyotes. However, it wasn’t as easy as some might think. The last-place ‘Yotes put up a fight. It wasn’t until Kings wing Viktor Arvidsson scored his second goal of the game with 3:39 left in the third period to give L.A. a 3-2 victory.
