Now On Deck: Caesars Reveals Renderings, Retail Sportsbook Nears Opening At Chase Field

It looks like the Arizona Diamondbacks are ready to go all-in as legal sports betting nears its Sept. 9 launch in the Grand Canyon State.

The MLB franchise and Caesars released digital renderings of the planned retail sportsbook outside of Chase Field in downtown Phoenix. The  state-of-the-art sportsbook, sports bar and broadcast studio will replace Game Seven Grill outside of the stadium.

“Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field will bring to life the vision of our brand by celebrating the Caesars promise of treating everyone like royalty,” Eric Hession, co-president of Caesars Digital, said in a release

“These renderings provide a taste of what this incredible new venue will offer, but there’s so much more we can’t wait to show Arizona customers when the space officially opens. Sports bettor or not, we’re hoping fans will visit to enjoy an unbeatable experience.”

The project is expected to be completed in early 2022.

What Caesars Sportsbook has in store for D-backs fans

The photos give a glimpse of what Diamondbacks fans and sports bettors can expect to see.

Plans call for a 20,000 square-foot, two-story venue. About half of that will be indoor and outdoor dining space that will feature an extensive menu. Other amenities include two floors of sports betting space, a full-service bar, VIP lounge and wall-to-wall TVs.

The sportsbook will be open not only on game days but also year-round. Furthermore, there will be flexible hours of operation to cater to specific sporting events.

While it won’t be accessible to fans while attending D-backs games, they can still place wagers — whether it’s betting on the Diamondbacks or any other event — via the Caesars Sportsbook mobile app.

Caesars, Diamondbacks ready for AZ sports betting launch

The creation of this project is possible thanks to Caesars’ sports betting and daily fantasy partnership with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

When retail sportsbooks and mobile betting apps in Arizona become available Sept. 9, fans can make a bet at Chase Field at ticket windows 21-25. This will mark the first MLB stadium where sports fans can place an in-person wager. Leading up to the grand opening of the retail space, folks will be able to place bets at five betting kiosks on the north side of the plaza being installed.

The Caesars Arizona betting app pre-launched Aug. 28, allowing users to create accounts and deposit funds to take advantage of exclusive deals ahead of the state’s sports betting launch.

The app combines mobile sports betting with Caesars’ loyalty program, Caesars Rewards. Every bet, win or lose, rewards the bettor with tier and reward credits. Users can use those to unlock top-tier experiences. That includes VIP access with the D-backs at Chase Field for registered app users in Arizona.
