If it never seemed so before, legal sports betting is now more real than ever.

The first mobile betting apps have hit the market in Arizona, including that of BetMGM Sportsbook.

Customers in the state can now download the app and create mobile betting accounts. While they cannot legally place wagers through the app, they can take advantage of an exclusive offer for Arizona bettors.

BetMGM Arizona offering $200 early sign-up offer

Following guidelines set forth by the Arizona Department of Gaming, BetMGM Arizona was able to “pre-launch” its mobile betting app after receiving a sports betting license.

In celebration of becoming available in the Grand Canyon State, the sportsbook rolled out a bonus to attract Arizona bettors.

First-time BetMGM customers can sign up via the sportsbook and claim $200 in bonus bets once legal wagering launches Sept. 9. That bonus breaks down into four $50 bets, which expire seven days after the launch date.

BetMGM will credit accounts when Arizona sports betting goes live, just in time for fans to take advantage of NFL betting on opening day.

How to sign up with BetMGM

The BetMGM app is available for both iOS and Android. What’s more, signing up is simple.

Customers only need to provide a few bits of information to allow the sportsbook to verify their ages and identities.

  • Legal name
  • Date of birth
  • Last four digits of Social Security number
  • Residential address
  • Email address

From there, users will create a username and agree to BetMGM terms and conditions. Not only will your BetMGM account be created, but you will trigger the bonus $200 sign-up offer.

It should be noted, however, that while users can fund their mobile betting accounts, they cannot place bets until Sept. 9.
