Two Arizona Lottery Tickets Notch Big Winners, Prize Claim Limits Increase At Two Locations

Be sure to check your tickets. Two lucky winning Arizona Lottery tickets netted big jackpot wins this past weekend.

While the people involved are planning what to do with their winnings, Arizona Lottery officials are doubling the number of locations where players can redeem prizes worth up to $49,999.

Winning lottery tickets sold in the Phoenix metro area

A boatload of cash is waiting for two Arizona Lottery players.

A spokeswoman for the state’s lottery system says one of the tickets won The Pick’s $1.4 million jackpot on Saturday. The winning ticket was sold at a Bashas’ grocery store on East Indian School Road, near North Hayden Road in Scottsdale.

The winning numbers were: 4, 9, 10, 27, 39 and 40.

At last check, this ticket has not been claimed. The owner of this ticket has until December 1 to come forward and claim the money. In other words, there is someone out there that needs to check their wallet or purse.

A second winning lottery ticket won The Fantasy Vive’s $414,000 jackpot. That ticket was sold on Sunday at 3 Brother’s Food Mart on East Broadway Road, near South Val Vista Drive in Mesa.

The winning numbers were: 10, 11, 12, 24 and 29.

At this time, it is unclear if this winning ticket has been redeemed.

Arizona Lottery raises prize claims limits in Kingman and at Sky Harbor Airport

The owners of those winning tickets may now be figuring out summer vacations. Meanwhile, the Arizona Lottery thinks now is an excellent time to increase the number of places that will let players redeem big wins.

Officials say branch offices in the Super Walmart in Kingman and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport can now pay out winning tickets worth up to $49,999.

Arizona Lottery Executive Director Gregg Edgar says this is a welcome change.

“It can be challenging for someone who lives far from the Lottery’s main offices in Phoenix and Tucson, or who is only passing through Phoenix when deciding to take a chance and dream big, to cash their big winning tickets,” said Edgar. “The Arizona Lottery exists to do good and to help make players’ dreams come true. We are increasing the redemption limits in Kingman and at the Airport to help do just that.”

Players must present their winning ticket to an authorized Arizona Lottery retailer to redeem a prize. That ticket must be in good condition, unaltered and able to be read by the person processing the claim. It is also a good idea for players to sign their winning tickets to secure their claims.

All retailers will redeem prizes of up to $100 and can redeem prizes of up to $599. Players can redeem prizes of any size at the main Arizona Lottery offices in Phoenix and in Tucson, as well as by mail.
