With March Madness upon us, DraftKings Sportsbook is sweetening the pot for Arizona bettors picking the Wildcats to win the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
The Arizona Wildcats men’s basketball team has had a fantastic season. They’ve gone 31-3 while also winning the Pac-12 regular-season and Pac-12 Tournament championships. Now the team shifts its focus to the “Big Dance.”
The Wildcats are heading into the tourney as the No. 1 seed in the South Regional. It will be a long trek for the team to make it to New Orleans for the Final Four. However, DraftKings AZ is making the journey even more worthwhile for sports bettors in Arizona.
DraftKings Sportsbook running ‘Wildcats to Win’ promo
We’ve told you before how the Arizona Wildcats winning the title is a huge liability for sportsbooks across the nation. But that news isn’t stopping DraftKings Sportsbook from putting up a major promotion to get more Arizonans to put their money down on the Wildcats.
DraftKings is offering Arizona bettors its ‘Wildcats to Win’ promo. A qualifying bet on the Wildcats to win it all will earn you a bonus bet for every game they win. This special gives folks in the Grand Canyon State another reason to “Bear Down” this Spring.
Here’s how you can score on this great deal.
First, Log-on to DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona using the mobile app or website and Opt-in for the promo.
Then, place a bet of at least $50 on Arizona to win the NCAAB Championship.
Users are eligible to get up to six bonus bet rewards. So customers will earn one bonus bet for every potential Wildcats win on their road to a possible championship.
There are two potential prize pools. If you place a $50-99 bet, you will receive a $10 bonus bet for every Arizona win.
Furthermore, if you place a bet of $100 or more, you will get a $25 bonus bet for every Arizona win. All bonus bets will be awarded by 8:59 PM MST after every round.
It is important to note bets must be placed before March 17, 9:00 AM MST, before the tournament’s first-round begins. Furthermore, you must be located in Arizona to take advantage of this deal.
Wildcats road to the title
Heading into the season, many thought this would be a rebuilding year for the Arizona Wildcats. However, first-year Head coach Tommy Lloyd and his players did not let that happen.
After spending over 20 years as an assistant at Gonzaga, Lloyd replaced Sean Miller, who got fired after being named in the FBI’s college basketball probe. (Miller’s longtime assistant Emanuel Richardson was charged and pled guilty to one felony count of conspiracy to commit bribery.)
The Wildcats managed to take all that offseason turmoil and turn it into a successful season. And following Conference Tournament action, Arizona is ranked No. 2 in the Associated Press top 25 college basketball poll. Now, most AZ sportsbooks have the Wildcats pegged with the second-best odds to win the championship at , only behind the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Now it is March Madness time. Candidly, Arizona should get past the first two rounds fairly easily before facing a possible roadblock in the Sweet 16. If they advance that far, either Illinois or Houston could present matchup problems for the Wildcats.
The Elite 8 could be what spells serious trouble. Many experts believe the South No. 3 seed Tennessee should have a higher ranking. The Volunteers won the SEC Tournament and are one of the hottest teams heading into the dance. Also, the South No. 2 seed Villanova is always a well-rounded team led by Head Coach Jay Wright. You can never count the “other” Wildcats out of making a Final Four run.
But if Arizona can make it past that draw, all bets are off. Oddsmakers are giving the UArizona Wildcats odds to make it to the Final Four. And if they can make it to New Orleans, they will have as good a chance as any other team to win it all.
