The Arizona Cardinals and BetMGM are giving us a sneak peek at the retail BetMGM Sportsbook.
The new in-person sports betting location will open on the campus of State Farm Stadium, home of the Cardinals.
Arizona’s favorite NFL team and one of the leading sports betting operators released initial images of the facility. The dining and entertainment spot will open in conjunction with the 2022 NFL season.
It will be the first sportsbook at an NFL stadium. Furthermore, it should also open well in time for Feb. 12, 2023: Super Bowl LVII, held at State Farm Stadium.

What bettors can expect to see inside BetMGM Sportsbook
Construction is underway on the BetMGM Sportsbook. It will operate on both event and non-event days. Meaning, even if the Cardinals are not in action at home, the sportsbook will still be open.
The two-story facility, which will be able to accommodate 500 guests, will be located on the north side of The Great Lawn as one of the premier spots to take in before a Cardinals home game. BetMGM said it will combine the energy and viewing options of a state-of-the-art sportsbook with the amenities of a world-class sports bar.
“The Arizona Cardinals and BetMGM are both committed to enhancing the gameday experience for fans in new and creative ways,” BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said in a press release.
“The BetMGM Sportsbook at State Farm Stadium will be one of the most unique and innovative additions to a venue that the sports and entertainment industry has ever seen.”
The nearly 17,000-square-foot BetMGM Sportsbook will feature a 265-square-foot video wall and 38 TVs. Guests will experience a great place to watch games, enhanced gameday parking options, as well as indoor and outdoor dining options.
Sports fans will be able to place wagers at trading windows. They can also utilize any of the 25 user-friendly betting kiosks placed throughout the space. It will be an interactive environment that will engage everyone, no matter their familiarity with sports betting.
BetMGM, Arizona Cardinals enhance AZ sports betting partnership
The release of the images for the new sportsbook is the latest phase of BetMGM’s partnership with the Arizona Cardinals.
“Since the launch of our partnership with BetMGM last August, the response has been incredible,” said Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill. “When this sportsbook opens next season, it will provide an opportunity to engage and entertain our fans in a way that is unprecedented.”
The BetMGM Sportsbook at State Farm Stadium will complement the BetMGM AZ online sportsbook, which launched statewide in Arizona in September 2021.
History-making sportsbook to open in Time for Super Bowl LVII
State Farm Stadium will host Super Bowl LVII, which will be the culmination of the 2022 NFL season. Meaning, there will be a retail sportsbook operating at a Super Bowl for the first time ever.
That is a significant change in the NFL world. For decades, gambling was considered a taboo topic in pro football. However, with sports betting becoming legal in states across the country, the NFL is seemingly jumping on board the betting train.
It is a new way of thinking that will be put to the test in February 2023. The Grand Canyon State will have featured AZ online sportsbooks for over a year by that time. There will be several other retail sportsbooks open throughout the state. However, having one available right outside the location of a Super Bowl will no doubt bring a tremendous amount of sports betting revenue in Arizona.
