The Arizona sports betting market is adding another name to the list of operators to launch online wagering. Betfred Sports and the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort say their mobile sports betting app will officially go live in Arizona on Thursday.

In late January, the Betfred Sports Sportsbook ran a soft launch in the Grand Canyon State. The app will be available on iOS and Android. Furthermore, officials say users will see a seamless betting experience that allows you to wager on any device within Arizona.

When Betfred launches on Thursday it will bring the total to 17 Arizona sports betting apps in the state.

“I could not be more excited to expand our Betfred Sports betting apps into the Arizona market,” said COO of Betfred Sports, Bryan Bennett. “We look forward to offering customers in the entire state unique experiences that they can’t access on any other platform. Our team has worked diligently to bring this to fruition.”

Betfred to continue growing in the Arizona betting market

A deal was announced between the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and Betfred Sportsbook back in August 2021. Since then, the partners have hit the ground running to gain footing along with several other AZ online sportsbooks.

In December 2021, The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and Betfred introduced regulated wagering to the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort in Scottsdale with eight self-service kiosks. So with the addition of a sports betting app, they an additional way to reach new customers.

“Three months ago, the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and Betfred Sports introduced sports betting kiosks at our beautiful desert gaming destination, and most recently opened a temporary full-service sportsbook,” said We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort general manager Mary Ketterling.  “Adding mobile apps is one more way we can offer Arizonans an easy, user-friendly and unparalleled sports betting experience.”

Unlike the other retail locations that have opened at other Arizona casinos, this one does not have ticket windows with an employee there to help you place bets. However, organizers say the state-of-the-art kiosks offer customers convenience, flexibility, comfort and safety when placing sports wagers.

The temporary betting station is currently available at WKP Sports & Entertainment Sports Bar Thursday – Sunday each week. However, the companies are working together to build a state-of-the-art, Las Vegas-quality retail sportsbook at the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort. Plans are in place for it to open this Summer.

The Betfred Sportsbook app will give bettors access to dedicated pages for college and professional sporting events. It will offer real-time updates on a variety of betting types including straight bets, in-play wagering, parlays, teasers and more.

With the launch, Betfred is offering a series of welcome bonuses. New customers looking to get in on the action right away will receive up to $3,000 in bonuses, including a $1,500 risk-free bet.

Betfred Sportsbook is also currently available in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Washington, and Colorado.
