Casino del Sol in Tucson, AZ is bringing Arizona sports betting to a new level.
For this NFL season, the Arizona casino launched a new NFL Cross Game Matchup that brings bettors more sports betting opportunities.
SolSports NFL Cross Game Matchup creates an “endless number of bets”
According to Casino del Sol’s sportsbook director, John Collins, the NFL Cross Game Matchup allows sports betting enthusiasts a huge range of “games” to bet on.
The NFL season typically sees no more than 15 actual games per week. SolSports’ new matchup offering allows bettors to pit one NFL team playing in the week against any other team playing on the same day. No matter who they’re officially matched up against that week.
Cross Game Matchup opens up betting possibilities. It allows avid sports bettors to wager on more than 450 game matchups per week. This is a groundbreaking product that is yet to be offered anywhere else in the country, according to the casino. Collins said:
“While analytical players will dissect probabilities within each event. Fantasy football players will use skills to try and handicap cross-game matchups.”
Casino del Sol rolled out the new betting product ahead of the 2022 NFL season following approval from the Arizona Division of Gaming (ADG).
Collins believes the new offering will be a hit with casino patrons since “football prop bets [are] the most popular” wagers among the sportsbook’s customers. “I knew a wager like this would appeal to our visitors,” he added.
The new sports betting offering is available on any of the casino’s 15 self-service kiosks in the SolSports Sportsbook.
NFL Cross Game Matchup well received in testing phase
Before its approval by the ADG, the Cross Game Matchup offering went through testing with the casino’s trading team. Collins said that feedback was glowing.
“They were saying, ‘Wow, I can have all these betting options, that’s fantastic,’” Collins explained. He also said that testers liked the betting customization that the new offering makes available.
“‘I like the fact that I can handicap this offense in this game versus this weak offense in another game and try to compare the two together,’” Collins said, quoting one of the testing participants.
Collins added that after the testing phase, the casino was thrilled to roll out the Cross Game Matchup to the public.
The timing couldn’t be better with NFL gambling anticipated to increase 3% from last year. According to a recent report put out by the American Gaming Association, 46.6 million Americans will gamble on the NFL this season.
